b+w darkroom photography: Students will learn to visualize through the camera’s lens as they compose pictures with a 35mmcamera. The course includes lessons on composition, timing, subject matter, and basic camera operations, a picture-taking field trip on Tuesday, and darkroom time for printing the rest of the week. Students are encouraged to bring in a 35mm camera, or may borrow one of ours for the week.[X]

As a class, we will create a simple puppet theatre, and our last class of the week will include an original puppet show finale for parents and friends![X]

We'll be inspired by famous art such as Vincent Van Gogh’s impasto paintings, Henri Matisse's collages, Andy Warhol's stencils and prints, and Cindy Sherman's character photographs, and have fun using their styles to create our own quirky, original pieces of art. Children must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian in this class. [X]

We’ll make giant masks, big scenery, noisemakers, and amazing creatures like a many-legged dragon and a very big monster – all of them big enough to wear, and some might even be 5 feet tall! Want to make colorful, fun illustrations and graphics on the computer? This class will show you just how the pros do it. Beginning with demonstrations of the programs, students will soon be able to create printed computer illustrations using Illustrator CS2 and Photoshop on Mac G5 computers. We will put what they\'ve learned to use designing and creating an original t-shirt to take home at the end of the week. [X]
