Printmaking is a fun and easy way to turn your creative images into colorful multiples, and this class will explore block and relief printing and introduce monotypes and other printing processes. We will have a great time with carving tools and non-toxic inks and print on beautiful textures and surfaces.[X]

Beginners will be initiated into this wonderful craft by learning the fundamentals of preparing the floor loom and weaving-off a cool rug or wall hanging. Returning students may bring in their own project ideas, produce a project sheet, and work on more complex pieces under the guidance of the instructor. Students will learn to visualize through the camera’s lens as they compose pictures with a 35mmcamera. The course includes lessons on composition, timing, subject matter, and basic camera operations, a picture-taking field trip on Tuesday, and darkroom time for printing the rest of the week. Students are encouraged to bring in a 35mm camera, or may borrow one of ours for the week.[X]
