Students will learn to visualize through the camera’s lens as they compose pictures with a 35mmcamera. The course includes lessons on composition, timing, subject matter, and basic camera operations, a picture-taking field trip on Tuesday, and darkroom time for printing the rest of the week. Students are encouraged to bring in a 35mm camera, or may borrow one of ours for the week.[X]

Beginning with demonstrations of the programs, students will soon be able to create printed computer illustrations using Illustrator CS2 and Photoshop on Mac G5 computers. Using collage techniques and found objects, Jessica's classes will find inspiration through artist references to transform objects into collective time capsules, identity treasure boxes, and artist trading cards.[X]

In this fun class, we will explore and create a variety of textile samples using techniques that include Japanese tie dye (Shibori), batik, Serti silk painting, discharge dye, and image printing.
