Students will learn to visualize through the camera’s lens as they compose pictures with a 35mmcamera. The course includes lessons on composition, timing, subject matter, and basic camera operations, a picture-taking field trip on Tuesday, and darkroom time for printing the rest of the week. Students are encouraged to bring in a 35mm camera, or may borrow one of ours for the week. [X]

Beginning with demonstrations of the programs, students will soon be able to create printed computer illustrations using Illustrator CS2 and Photoshop on Mac G5 computers. We will put what they\'ve learned to use designing and creating an original t-shirt to take home at the end of the week. [X]

Young artists will be inspired by things all around to create puppets of imaginary animals and monsters, and critters out of fabric, special papers, string, and found treasures. As a class, we will create a simple puppet theatre, and our last class of the week will include an original puppet show finale for parents and friends![X]

Children must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian in this class. [X]

Get ready to go on collection field trips in the fan to a thrift store and nearby parks to create art inspired by nature and everyday objects. Using fabrics and scrap materials, Kendra's classes will incorporate innovative weaving techniques to create hanging tapestries and sculptures. Using collage techniques and found objects, Jessica's classes will find inspiration through artist references to transform objects into collective time capsules, identity treasure boxes, and artist trading cards.[X]
